If your deceased loved one passed away due to service-related causes, then the Department of Veteran Affairs offers specific benefits and services to honor deceased veterans. These benefits include:

• Headstones and markers
• Burial flag that will be draped on the casket
• Presidential memorial certificate
• Reimbursement for burial expenses ($2,000 for service-related causes of death)
• Burial in VA National Cemetery (which we apply for and obtain for you free of charge)
